“The Hand That Rocks the Cradle Is the Hand That Rules the World,” is a poem by William Ross Wallace that praises motherhood as the preeminent force for change in the world. The powerful influence a mother has on a child is incredible. Through the process of time, a mother shapes a child’s life as they grow and mature into an adult.
There is another hand that has a profound effect on our lives, and sometimes that hand rocks our world. There is a force that has had a powerful influence on our lives; the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Through the process of life, the hand of God shapes us and helps us along as a child of His.
I’m thankful for a mother’s hand, but I’m more thankful for the powerful, life-changing hand of God.
